Keith Richards outlives another one
I thought the other day she might outlive Keith
I knew the libs were getting all excited about her turning 100, and thought just recently how funny, sort of, if she cheated them out of it!!
Well done, Betty, well done!!!
They show Golden Girls on TV land here in LA all the time, have seen every episode..damn she didnt get to celebrate her 100th birthday..RIP Betty, the last Golden Girl is gone
My mother often compares me to a (male) Dorothy and herself to Sofia. She often repeats jokes she heard from the show. Loved the Golden Girls and will miss Betty White.
Sad too as she was actively planning it with People magazine running a commemorative issue.
Sorry to hear. She did make it to 99 which is incredible.
RIP Betty.
RIP!!!
Save it with your November 2016 "Madame President" Newsweek.
I think a major contributing factor is that healthy habits go by the wayside. We stay up late, we over-indulge in alcohol and go heavy on rich desserts like cheesecakes, pies, cookies and egg nog, etc. Then you have all that turkey, stuffing, goose, ham and prime roast drenched in heavy gravies with ample amounts of potatoes. Then come the liqueurs, the brandies, the wines and the champagnes.
Once I get through my New Year's Eve celebration tonight with Chinese food: duck, egg rolls, fried dumplings and rice, etc., I'm waking up tomorrow and going for a nice hike in the woods after a breakfast of yogurt and berries. I'll be getting my life back together - that's my New Year's resolution.
I always thought she and her late husband, Allen Ludden, were a terrific couple. A simple search of him produces a myriad of pictures of he and Betty. He was probably my favorite game show host of the golden age.
Awwww...
She inspired a lot of people.
Like.
Oh I forgot about that. Catherine piper if I recall. A great role as well
Rest in peace. I love the Golden Girls.
That's when my mom went into the hospital, the day before Christmas Eve, and she never returned home.
Betty White was always active, even when she got older. I suspect the various lockdowns and suspension of TV shows and movies did her no favors in that regard. Some people are just not meant to be idle (reading a book, watching TV, browsing the Internet is not enough).
That’s too bad. Great actress!
RIP.
She’s a good Democrat now.
I highly recommend Hot In Cleveland, a funny, surprisingly politically incorrect situation comedy.
