Exactly my point. Just because something is a "law" doesn't mean it is right, just, or good. We see that everyday in our country where most federal law is invalid and unconstitutional and, thus, illegal. Illegal law. Happens all the time. Some laws are good, others not good. You have to use reason to sort it out. And the penalty for breaking a law is totally off point here.

My argument is about what makes sense not what "law' may arbitrarily say.

My point Mr. TexasGator is that there a some pretty good reasons to consider or reconsider a 13 years old being a young adult. I’ve named a few in this thread. Nothing coming from on high written in stone. Just a appeal to consider some reasonable and supportable viewpoints on the subject.

Traditionally, 13 is the age a boy could be punished by a court, but 20 is the age he could be punished by heaven. Many Jewish commentators explain various approaches to the details of why that is.

Twenty is also the age at which Jewish men were counted in a census, and for military and Temple service.
