I only watched a couple clips of that, but those fake tears were so over the top, it’s pathetic

Were there even tears? I saw him shield his eyes with his hand as if he were hiding his tears, but when he removed his hand, I didn't see any tears. I thought about finding it online and replaying it, but it didn't seem worth my time.
