First episode of the season tonight. This year, it will be different....
Not coincidentally one of the most woke, feminist countries in existence
[snip] The existence of the treasure was first acknowledged in 1984 when landowner Ior Bock claimed his family were direct descendants of Lemminkäinen, who are figures in Finnish pagan mythology.
Bock said the chamber on his large estate was sealed up with huge stone slabs in the 10th-Century to protect the treasures from invaders. He revealed the resistance of the temple because he did not want the story to die with his family.
Bock, who was quadriplegia from an earlier stabbing in his life, was killed by his former assistants in 2010 but the excavation continued following his death.
This treasure is allegedly stashed within the massive Sibbosberg cave system, which is 20 miles east of the Finnish capital Helsinki. [/snip]
Cheers (26 seconds)

.... and the treasure hunters just need a few thousand more dollars to finish their work.
Looks like Lemminkainen finally got the Sampo working again.
(Let’s see if anyone gets the reference)
"Hello, sampo repairman."
And I am not disappointed!
He was no longer a failure!
I almost blew mead all over my keyboard.
That is a good museum and Mel Fishers life story was pretty amazing. My brother worked for him for a while. Got a book on the shelf signed by him.
I thought him to be a pretty interesting man.
I was stationed at KI Sawyer with that guy. Looks like him, about the same size too.
The Curse of Oak Island?

This season they are using hard data to find the “truck load of silver” and a new technique to find gold by analyzing water (somebody tell the guys on Gold Rush!). Looks like Rick and Marty will be putting down four 20 foot diameter shafts in the Money Pit area.
Correction : four 10 foot diameter steel pipes down to 190 feet or so. Currently at the C-4 location where the gold indications are strongest at the moment.
