Seriously! My body decided to fight back quite a long time ago, and let me know who was in charge.
If I got to feeling rebellious and decided to indulge in some fast food fries...

Exactly. If good food can be served at a take out place, why do I need access to the “secret menu” to get it? If the good stuff ain’t front and center, screw ‘em. They can keep their super-secret clientelle.
Chick fil a used to have off menu biscuits and gravy.
It'll be a long time before I go back to fast food joints. The staff sucks, has attitude, is slow, or is some kind of coddled woke freakshow. Getting a hot rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, or one of the wholesale clubs, makes for a much better (and cheaper) meal.
At the Albertsons grocery store here there’s an 8 piece fried chicken bucket for $7.00.
