Dodgers puller Scherzer after 4 1/3 innings and went to the bullpen.
Top of the 8th
Tie game.
Cardinals 1
Dodgers 1
Battle of the bullpens...
If this goes into extra innings it would be a crazy way to end somebody’s season...
NUTS!
Great game.
Will be fun watching Dodgers & Giants at Oracle Park in SF, the “Tiffany Diamond of Baseball Parks” and the boats out on McCovey Cove, and at Dodger Stadium where they’re in shirtsleeves and Mary Hart behind the plate, looking pretty good for her age.
Did you see the guy wearing the Jack-In-The-Box head behind the plate for awhile? Used to see scowling Larry King back behind the plate but I guess he’s long gone.
I’m a Giant’s fan but I’ve got the Dodgers as the better team.
How do you start a thread for that game on FR?
However, although I believe that the date for Christ's Second Coming of October 7, 2028, is well-supported scripturally (the 80th Yom Kippur after Israel's rebirth), simply subtracting seven years (that is, yesterday/today) does not yield the date for the Rapture. Instead, today is the beginning of the Seven-Year Tribulation, as you noted. The Rapture will occur about one-two weeks prior to its mid-point, or nearly 3½ years from now, just before the commencement of the Great Tribulation.
I am a Mid-Tribber, with a qualifier. Revelation 7 portrays the Rapture, and chapter 8 begins the description of the terrible Great Tribulation. In between, 8:1: "When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour." This describes a brief period of time: 24 hours constitute a day, so "about half an hour" is something like a 48th of it. Returning the scale to a year, which is the actual time-frame being discussed, yields something more than one week, a 52nd of a year. So, the interval before the midpoint when the Rapture will occur is pinned down to a week-plus prior to the Tribulation's midpoint. Note that no specific date or hour is proposed.
Why would God pause events for a week-plus immediately following the Rapture? To let those who are left behind absorb the reality of it: "I guess maybe those crazy Christians were right after all!"
Given all the events pending during the coming forty-two months, we will be very eager to depart by then! In the meantime, we continue living as before, though with a greater sense of urgency.
