If he really wants to hide he will stay way from the hiking trail and probably be in the higher elevations.
The good question is; when does it get cold in the higher elevations and when can you expect snow?.
Once the snow flies, he had better have a cabin somewhere and enough food to get him through the winter.
What they should be doing is watching the remote cabins for activity, as best they can.

To do this for more than a couple of weeks, he would need a great deal of help. It’s about to start getting cold up in those mountains, too.

IMO, this manhunt is a diversion, much like the OJ Trial, to keep people focused on anything but BIDEN, election fraud, Covid-19, the DEMOCRAT agena, CHINA,and the invasion of our nation.
Why wasn’t the suspect put on surveillance in the first place?

Depends on his gear and clothing and supplies.
Getting cool up there. My Banner Elk outdoor thermo read 54 last night 59 now

What are the odds that he already killed himself? I am
not a psychologist, but it seems that young men who become overly attached to their female partners cannot imagine life without them. They view break up as the end of the world, and react by striking out. Once they have killed the female, there is nothing to live for.
Pure speculation on my part.

It comes all the way up here and beyond.
They find lots of dead bodies on it.

Eric Rudolph successfully hid in the NC woods for three years until he went a little crazy and pretty much let himself be caught.

Yikes!
We’re there!
Eric Rudolph was found in our thick forest where he had hid a few years.....just down the road in Murphy, NC
Thankfully, there’s a lot of sharp folks who ‘carry’ around here!

put a bounty on his tail and the kin folks up there will find him in a short amount of time, he doesn’t know the area and the clans have lived up there for 300 or more years plus it’s huntin season

Amazingly, the legal system does not let the police question the parents who received him when he drove her van home to them, since they've “lawyered up”.

Something tells me Dog doesn’t know much about the AT. I wont say much more but this seems to be another speculative article printed only to keep everyone’s attention.
Hikers get a lot of help without asking. The trail is full of people who leave supplies out all the time for anyone. They even call them “trail angels”. I personally don’t think Bryan is anywhere near the AT.

He drove or had someone drive and park his car south. So of course he went north.

They need to call in Mark Sanford. He’s an expert on the Appalachian Trail.
To: ChicagoConservative27
Well, the AT is 2,180+ miles long. There are only two directions to it, north & south. That should narrow things down quite a bit. Team up w/ Nancy Disgrace, Mr. Chapman....that would be worth the price of admission.
Snark.

This time of year the AT is jammed. He’s not going to go unseen.
