Yup, the battery / photovoltaic plant in Nevada is only at 30% of projected capacity. Battery manufacturing has been getting included in the vehicle plants. The Austin plant (phase 1) is nearing completion, and even before the structure is done, part of the production will start to ramp.

The Chinese government will never allow Teslas to be sold in quantity in China as long as there is any domestic, CCP controlled alternate. The fraudulent “recalls” the CCP ordered for Teslas recently was designed to wreck their reputation internally and a shot across the bow to keep Musk focused on exports from China not sales in China.

My point was they will shift production to lower cost areas. If not now, then definitely in the future when declines in production are needed.

“What it means is that production in the US will decline in the future.”

It means that production will shift from one Communist regime (California) to another (China).

Still taking billions from US Taxpayers to find that POS? Yep. maybe his CCP/ChiComm pals will take-up the slack.

Try running one of those comical junkers in the Northeast, Midwest or Florida for “a million miles”. Won’t happen.

We did keeping Tesla alive. Early on, the company received $465 million from the government’s Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing (ATVM) Loan Program. The funds helped Tesla develop the Model S, a luxury vehicle with a price tag starting at $68,000 back in 2017.
