I assume it would just flood all of FL
a couple of computer simulations for other areas
What would happen if New York City was struck by a La Palma mega tsunami? Computer simulation shows the effects of a 20 m wave arriving there from the Southeast.

What would happen if a La Palma Mega Tsunami struck New England? Physics-based computer simulation
of a 20 m tall mega tsunami approaching Cape Cod

PS - I'm watching that volcano every day since it erupted.
I got the Tee-shirt.
I don’t see any landslide, and the activity does not appear to be in the area that is an unstable threat.
Also... I thought i heard that it would only take 2.5 hrs for a psunami to cross the ocean... I don’t know.
We just got back from a visit to Margaritaville. Nice get away.
Thanks for the links! But the 3rd link looks to me like the lava flow in Iceland at Geldingadalir. I recognize the hilly terrain, and also at the very end of the vid I’m seeing (on the hill in the background) some previous flows that are very recognizable. Could be wrong tho

You are correct
CONvid? Pfffttttt. Hold my beer. But, would any deaths from such a tsunami be attributed to CONvid? :-}
Our house was as well and there is a railroad bed in between to help stop it. :-} But, we don’t live there anymore so..... How would Elon handle that? Basically end KSC ops.
If such a thing were to happen, God forbid, two questions. Would Biden, Obama, be safely moved out of the way in time (both at beach resorts) and how would the press put the blame on Trump, the unvaccinated, and the deplorables?
Saw something about the 500 foot (?) wave it generated. Crazy stuff. But, “we” can stop climate change. With enough money. NOT!
The real evidence was studied by the USGS years ago and at the very MOST, the wave height would be around 20-40 feet high, which will be catastrophic in itself. So, think the boxing day catastrophe.
And that was for a HUGE landslide which wont happen.
The further away the wave travels to less in height it is.
Now the east coast of Africa? And the coasts of Europe? That is another matter.
It would be for me and most everyone I care about, douche.
Better learn to fly to Mars.
Now can you see those dark clouds gathering up ahead?
They’re going to wash this planet clean like the Bible said
Now you can hold on steady and try to be ready
But everybody’s gonna get wet
Don’t think it won’t happen just because it hasn’t happened yet
The Road and the Sky, Jackson Browne
You wanna see something?
I talk to Geology Professors quite often and we get to talking about volcanism-since two of them are experts in the study. Now professors take interest and are generally single minded-meaning they study one or two volcanoes, etc.
But this one, identified in 09, really got our attention.
640 cubic kilometers IN ONE DAY!
I live near this one.

Another name for standing wave is stationary, they don’t travel.
ā12 miles? Cool, Iām about 20 miles as the crow flies inland from the beach. No worries then.ā
*****
Hit the Walmart up for some inflatables and monitor the news, just in case.
20 miles inland? You might have to worry about the ones fleeing the coast in a hurry. They are bound to be tired, desperate and starving. Just saying...
