Stop'n'Shop Robots

Allegedly there to detect spills, empty shelves, or other dangers, the Stop'n'Shop Robots roam the aisles and seem to be stalking customers. I No Longer shop there! In this Picture, one wonders if the the Robot is doing a body scan to determine if the customer is diabetic or obese before allowing the ice cream freezer door to unlock.

I will NEVER shop at Stop'n'Shop again. BigY has a beer and wine department anyway, and NO ROBOTS!

I am NOT making this up.

I know you are not "making this up" because we have robots roaming the aisles of our local Fred Meyers store taking stock and others that clean the floor. Ours do not have funny faces on them. I assume that the bots checking stock also tend to discourage shoplifting.

Anyone who’s visited Singapore knows that it’s a sparkling clean and orderly city. They also know that everywhere you turn you see a sign saying “$100 Fine For (Fill In The Blank)”.

I am not quite sure why this has got your panties in a wad. We have a big problem with shoplifters where we live and anything to discourage this is good as far as I am concerned. You probably should spend less time in the beer and wine departments.

This robot security trend is very disturbing.

My workaround for smoking cigars would not work any more—my current practice is to walk up to security guards on “no smoking” properties and ask them where they smoke!
