As a kid I had polio and wanted to see the comparison to the size of the polio virus compares to the coronavirus(Covid19)
These viruses are so small you cant see them on a microscope. An electron microscope is necessary. (came out in the 1920s)
I saw electron microscope photos, and the polio virus was about 1/3 the diameter of the coronavirus.
Besides covid , a lot of other viruses are going to get through those masks.
Fortunately we have vaccines against most of those other viruses.
Unfortunately we don't have one yet for the covid viruses.-Tom
Uh, he has a scraggly mustache and beard—no wonder his masks didn’t seal.
Just did....agree!
I thought you might. :-)
With Covid wide spread, It doesn’t make any difference what you wear, over a year and a half your going to be exposed. You are either going to get infected or not, depending on your immune system.
Thats why you need a 2m 6001 or a dreager.
It’s not the N95 or p95 rr p99 filter. it is the type of mask. not a peice of paper shaped like your face. A respirator mask will work at 95-99 depending on the filter used. 3m 6001 from home depot or a dreager.
Did they make the people who weren’t coughing put masks on????

no
I have worn and been a SCBA certified repair tech for many years.
There are several issues you would need to consider. Most of the better masks use a silicone type rubber for the main body of the mask. Can you print that?
To maintain positive pressure the mask ends up being tight in order to not leak when you turn your head so its going to be uncomfortable to wear for long periods and the head harness is going to have to be strong.
A LOT of people have some or major claustrophobia wearing a full face mask and when the time comes, just rip it off of their head without loosening the straps. I can’t count the number of head harnesses I replaced over the years. It was literally every time I went there to fill cylinders, I had to replace harnesses. People would pull parts of the nose cup out and discard them and as a result they end up re-breathing more CO2. The nose cup helps prevent re-breathing and fogging up.
I’ve spent a lot of time in full and partial masks and if given the choice, I like the partial and goggles.
I wish you success if you choose to persue the venture.
Which supports the fact that mask mandates, just like quarantines, for healthy, non-coughing people are ridiculous.

We couldn’t afford chainlink for the skeeters so we used stock fence.
I’m sure it will work just as well.
:D
“He has... facial hair. N95s CANNOT be worn with facial hair. I did asbestos remediation with a full face respirator years ago, and they stressed being clean shaven daily. It wasn’t worth your life. N95s work the same way. His facial hair makes it easy for aerosols to get in.
I’m not a pro-masker, but this video is a bit misleading. However, considering EVERYONE wears masks incorrectly for COVID (maybe healthcare folks notwithstanding) his video is apropos.”
I’ve worn these masks when I’ve worked on my house. Never had any facial hair because I shave and can’t really grow a beard. After sanding sheetrock I usually end up with a sinus infection. When I demolished my kitchen I was blowing black snot for a week. Masks will not prevent infection or even prevent the spread.
