There's a nearly-80 year old dude in my neighborhood, an esteemed university professor who is widely pulished on Pollutico and the Hill. He has been 100% pro-vax since the outset, plus wearing an N95 mask for 18 months everywhere he goes. Vaxxed, of course, and probably got a booster shot too.

He just tested positive for COVID this morning.

I have a history of several blood clots, and a neurological disorder. I am currently on the recovery side of the Delta variant. I’ll take my natural immunity over the almost certain death from a blood clot and the possibility of permanent neurological side effects from the vaccine.
