Please remember that the White House soon stopped mentioning the essential zinc (virus stopper) that was supposed to be used with the HCQ. In fact less than 2 months after the Zinc, HCQ, Azithromycin treatment for EARLY covid info was sent to the White House by Dr. Zelenco, Dr. Fauci was bragging about a study that NIH was starting on hospitalized patient using HCQ and Azithromycin. No EARLY treatment, no ZINC. Designed to fail and leave the field open to Remdesivir.
That’s right.
Thanks for the reminder.
My 6’1” son was told last winter to take 5,000 IU of D for his winter depression (SAD). That would be 125 mg. of D under the new labeling. Was this a deliberate attempt to confuse people. At any rate 1000 IU equals 25 mg. of D. At 5’3” and age 83 I am taking 5,000 in winter and 2 or 3 thousand in other seasons if I am getting outside part of the time into the sun. There is some D in my Calcium supplement, my cal/mag/zinc tablet and one-a-day vitamin so I have to add them up and regulate the dose of any plain D tablets/capsules that I might take in addition.
How much zinc and Vitamin D had you been taking before you got sick, and how much while ill? This can really make a difference in how one is affected. Also, did you loose your sense of taste and smell?

I think you intended to direct that question to post 13 and directed it to me by mistake.
The vitamin D dose a sick person should receive depends on his blood level. If it’s adequate, he shouldn’t receive any.
Yes, I should have directed my question to vettvetdoug.
It has been a month since I was the sickest and my hair is falling out from the prolonged fever and for some reason I have dental abscesses formed and in the coming week will have to have three root canals.

Excess vitamin D reduces vitamin K and low vitamin K causes teeth problems.
One question would be how much ZINC were you taking prior to your illness. I think 50 mg. is the prevention dose, and 250 mg. the treatment dose for 5 to 7 days. Also, it sounds as if you need more Vitamin C. Robert Cathcart (doctor) recommends 4 grams a day for healthy people. I have been taking 3 to 7 grams a day for 50 years, the higher amount on the many days I am exposed to my multiple allergens. Vitamin C always has lowered fever by 2f degrees when I or my children have been given a medical dose. When kids were infants with colds and blocked tubes to the ears, I would give them 500 mg. C dissolved in 8 oz baby water bottle. This would open their tubes and prevent ear infections. Another thing besides C for gum/jaw health might be B6, especially if there is diabetes in your family, or if you get car sick or seasick. Or if your mother suffered from nausea of pregnancy. Somewhere between 25 and 100 mg.
I think teeth might repair themselves when the cause of the damage is not present.
