Why aren't we hollering about masks ineffectiveness?

My masks never bend right over my nose. The bridge of my glasses slide down my nose and pushes the mask out of shape. I’s a constant battle in a place I shouldn’t be touching.

From a half-century of hands-on experience with PPE as an environmental health and safety professional in heavy industry and big agriculture I know this: Even a properly selected, properly applied, properly fit-tested, properly worn and properly maintained mask, even when worn by a person trained in the use of personal protective equipment will not affect transmission of a respiratory virus. It's a lie that masks do, especially the way nearly everyone improperly applies and wears them. And it's a particularly vile lie when "medical experts" (who damn well know better) tell people who really need to be careful with the communist chinese virus that if they wear a mask and everyone around them is masked they are protected ... they are safe. It's a vicious, potentially deadly lie!

Bottom line: Whether or not you come down with covid, masks have absolutely nothing to do with it. You have as much "protectiion" with a mask whether it's on your face or in your pocket. QED.
