When the a prosecutor publicly states that he had assured Cosby that he would not prosecute Cosby if he testified in the civil case proceedings, that is a contract... NO, that is ridiculous. There was no agreement made, there were no negotiations, there was only a statement that in one prosecutor's opinion the case was not strong enough to proceed at that time...
What is a legal definition of a legally binding contract? "The basic elements required for the agreement to be a legally enforceable contract are: mutual assent, expressed by a valid offer and acceptance; adequate consideration; capacity; and legality." https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/contract
What Cosby had was one prosecutor's opinion and no guarantee that another prosecutor would not pursue the case when more evidence came to light. How many other women testified in the trial that Cosby did the same thing to them? And how many more have come forward since? Cosby did not get immunity from prosecution forever from a poorly worded press release from an idiot. Only a partisan political body masquerading as a judicial body and you would confer such privilege to a monster. But I am so proud that you are willing to vigorously defend the "constitutional rights" of a habitual offender in a protected class. How very "woke" of you. You are my virtue signaling hero of the day. Unfortunately your idiotic interpretation supporting a shameful decision by a partisan body undermines the already waning confidence in our misfiring judicial system and encourages others to take matters in their own hands.
I did not realize what WASCWatch stood for and I salute your efforts. I apologize for flying off the handle.
Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court is probably not quite as bad as the situation that we have here in Washington.
The prosecutor is the State. The Prosecutor bound the State to the agreement.
You stated the elements of a contract. All of them were met.
I’ve got stories I could tell, and I will start telling them in a Federal Civil Rights and RICO lawsuit I will be filing in the near future.
I’m on a first name basis with the great Former WASC Justice Richard Sanders. Even have his personal cell phone number, and he always takes my calls, or returns calls within 1-2 days; sometimes the same day.
I have absolutely proof of corruption at the WASC, Governor Inslee, AG Sideshow Bob, the entire leadership of the WSP, Thurston County Sheriff and Prosecutor; along with a whole assortment of other miscreants.
It’s all in our records, emails, recorded phone calls, etc. Also have absolute proof of illegally destroyed court files; but I have copies. Also have two recorded calls with an Assistant US Attorney admitting I have been a victim of civil rights violations, but refused to do anything. All this stuff goes back at least 20 years to the present.
Stay tuned.
Cosby seems to think the old rules of the persecuted black man apply. The hierarchy has been shuffled, and black men’s grievances now fall below #MeToo victims.

You thoughts were not unreasonable for someone who doesn’t have an in-depth understanding of the law. We all have our areas of expertise. Cosby was guilty as hell, but he had a great lawyer; better than the State’s lawyer.
Can’t blame the prosecutor too much because the case was so old. We can second guess his decision with good reason, but he got Cosby to testify truthfully in the civil lawsuit and some women were awarded a significant sum of money and Cosby was forced to admit to being the scumbag he is. Not a perfect result, but much better than it could have been.
it surprises me how many on Freerepublic trust the news about this case. Cosby is a clear example of how the deep state combined with news media can destroy a person by creating a narrative and then trying the person in the media.... hear is some food for thought about the case. those 60 women coming forward were creations of Gloria Aldred and none of them including five who were used to impugn Cosby were ever cross examined in court instead a statement from the civil case was read into the proceeding as a proof of prier bad acts.
