“(Note: “Jefferson’s racism” is a statement I wholly disagree with [And too the wider “Founder’s racism” narrative] but the charge is leveled everywhere you look, it seems)”

The forces of evil lie constantly.

Just the other day I saw that canard about him having a bunch of kids with a slave woman advanced as a fact.

"I can’t believe I never heard this before."

That's the power of the spoken word. This recorded version will be far more memorable than the written which has been available online for a very long time.

This particular audio was not my own, but this is the reason why I record works of my own because it resonates.

"The forces of evil lie constantly."

That they do but they have backed themselves into a corner in a contradiction here. We can easily exploit it if we really want to.

I know I'm not going to let it go. They can say 1619 all they want but the fact remains this was British-owned cargo loaded on British-owned ships sailing from one of the Empire's ports to another port in the Empire. On top of that were American abolitionist laws and British vetos. We can shove that right down their 1619, they'll choke on it.

“I know I’m not going to let it go.”

Been getting pretty tired of being old and useless, so I’ve been thinking about starting a 501c3 outfit.

I was thinking about using it to push for a constitutional amendment making leftardation a capital crime, but spreading the word about this would also be a worthy cause.

They had a lot more than 11 years, and Massachusetts wasn't the only state that became a free state, and states like Vermont and those in the Northwest came into the Union freesoil-on-day-one because of Jefferson's abolitionist ordinance.

I sometimes think we talk past each other. They only had 11 years from 1776 to 1787 when the US Constitution was written. In that time, state legislatures could have passed all the anti-slavery stuff they wanted but they didn't. The only state to abolish slavery was Massachusetts, and it did so with liberal legal trickery rather than an actual vote of the people or the legislature.

Vermont wasn't a state when the Declaration was written and it also wasn't a state when the Constitution was written. It was an independent Republic until 1791.
