Jill Biden has claimed that her husband was elected to relieve Americans who felt suffocated under President Donald Trump.
The comments were made during a fluff interview with Vogue magazine profile titled, “A First Lady for All of Us: On the Road with Dr. Jill Biden.”
Mrs. Biden told writer Jonathan Van Meter:
“During the campaign, I felt so much anxiety from people; they were scared.”
“When I travel around the country now, I feel as though people can breathe again.”
“I think that’s part of the reason Joe was elected.”
Jill Biden pushed the theory that Biden‘s supporters wanted a commander in chief who “lowers the temperature.”

“People wanted someone to come in and heal this nation, not just from the pandemic, which I feel Joe did by, you know, getting shots in everybody’s arms.”
“But also … he’s just a calmer president,” she said.
But she failed to mention that it was Trump who managed to get vaccines research and development fast-tracked via Operation Warp Speed, which Biden has tried to take credit for.
In March, Operation Warp Speed health adviser, Dr. Moncef Slaoui, said roughly 90% of the Biden administration’s plans for action related to the vaccine were taken from Trump‘s logistical blueprints.
The First Lady failed to mention that it was Trump who managed to get vaccines research and development fast-tracked via Operation Warp Speed.
“The first thing [Trump‘s teams did] was to accelerate the development of the vaccine,” Dr. Slaoui said during a CBS “Face the Nation” interview.
“We contracted, specifically, 100 million doses of the vaccine, but built into the contracts options to acquire more vaccines once we knew they were effective.”
“So, I think what is happening now is right, but I think what is happening was — substantially was the plan.”
Even Biden was forced to agree.
“I think the administration deserves some credit getting this off the ground with Operation Warp Speed,” he said in late December in conjunction with his own inoculation.
Biden’s White House senior COVID-19 advisor even acknowledged Trump’s success with the rapid development and rollout of coronavirus vaccines in March.
Andy Slavitt said the Trump administration’s accomplishment is something he would “absolutely” tip his hat to.
Slavitt said he was grateful for Trump’s work on vaccines prior to Biden taking office.
“I would absolutely tip my hat,” he told Fox News’s Bill Hemmer about his take on the success of Operation Warp Speed.

You are setting up hurdles Biden won’t jump over. His job as a liberal/socialist is not to improve the country, but to find ways to conquer it. And that’s the only credit I can give him for the five and a half months he’s been in office (I can’t say in control). He has reversed everything Trump has done and that is all he has done and all he is going to do for his term whether he finishes it or not. It’s going to take far more than one term to reverse success.
