Brickell isle always floods. It should be condemned.

You wait — the dems will insist that we pay for replacements of these buildings.
Pool is directly above part of the garage.
There was a brand new Condo / Hotel Building built on the Vegas Strip that was so badly built it was never allowed to be occupied.
It had to be dismantled piece by piece before it collapsed on its own.

The new building will exclude anyone making less than "The Big Guy" from buying a unit.
I watched Mexican workers build two stories of a new hotel in cancun. About 10 guys and five gallon buckets with a hand operated bender for the rebar. They did it in one week. They still had around six more stories to go when we left.
I wonder what banks are holding the paper on those condos??
My guess is they are underwater financially and perhaps physically now.
What part of Isle did you not understand ?
If I were an owner of a unit there with renters in the unit I would get them the hell out of that building!! If I were renting a unit there I would get the hell out on my own!!! As an owner living there your life is not worth playing Russian roulette staying in that building it sucks yes but not worth your life!!
“Building collapse horrifies residents of Miami Beach condominium with ‘unsafe structure’ warning (built in 1971)”
well, i guess they better get busy and assess themselves gigantic assessments to fix the problem, then
apparently one too many mafia-affiliated contractors cut one too many corners ....
Not a good selling point.
A good concrete finisher could patch that right up. Slap a coat of paint on it and it should look fine. They didn’t even care enough to cover up the problems.

The banks are not worried. Now, the condo owners that is another story.

Considering Mexican construction standards, I can see why people might be reluctant to buy. Mexican sidewalks are dicey at best.
A few hundred securitized loans aren't going to be a blip on the balance sheet of a megabank.
The building that partially collapsed had 342 units. Average sales price per unit over the last 12 months was $736,250. https://www.miamiresidence.com/surfside/champlain-towers.htm
where Brickell Isle, that what this post was about
