Oh please. If you truly cared you’d be interested in improving the vaccines and the recommended regimens to limit as much unnecessary risk as possible. Especially for young people who don’t get that dangerously impacted by COVID. Taking a vaccine knowingly is different from contracting a disease unknowingly - and the latter can happen even being vaccinated.
With what we can control, the vaccine companies should be interested in maximizing their usage and safety. Not just throwing the “well it’s rare” excuse. I’m done.
“ There are more. And one is too many.”

I agree.
A close friend of both of my daughters died from Myocarditis.
Caught us all by surprise.
The school planted a tree in her name with a plaque.
Very tragic. Hard on Middle Schoolers too.
I won’t forget it. Even though it happen in 2002.
18 years before Covid-19 vaccines.
Since you believe one lost life is too many, I assume you have given up driving as not clog the roads and make traffic deaths more possible………
Good job.
Accidents happen, and they can also be prevented. Just look at how many needless lives the Opioid Epidemic alone has taken! Far more than Covid! How many needless lives and families destroyed by overconsumption and overprescription of Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson drugs etc...
The vaccine companies should be interested in maximizing safety and minimizing risk. And being transparent about the costs to the benefits — and open about their fallibility and limited data, instead of desperately in denial. It would actually put many hesitant people get over the fence. And it would give the companies a chance to improve their product. Moving forward.
And above all being from a conservative site, you of all people should be interested in individualism. Some vaccine regimens should be individualized and not just indiscriminately streamlined for the sake of bureaucratic conformity. In Germany, young people only get one dose. And in many countries, those who’ve had Covid already either are not required to get shots or are also given just one dose.

I can’t argue with that.
But if they do as you say, will they be believed?
Will their openness throw a log on the fire of vaccines debates?
I keep reminding myself, here at FR we all agree on more things than we disagree on.
I think I’m Sheathing my Vaccine Sword.
Have a great day. Good post. Good ideas.
I don’t mean for the ad-hominem.
but no use in trying to get through.
