Virtue signaling is a huge draw for them
Leftism today appeals to minorities and women....
White males and even last election black and Latino males moved away from leftism
Women see govt as the daddy or husband and they are attracted to emotive arguments ....most women...not all
I was a left leaning libertarian kid 70s
Today is different issues wise but the motivations are similar
