I was there from 77-early 79.
Fond memories of Herr Barden's gasthaus in Loffelscheid...great jagerschnitzel. Another favorite spot was Eduard Kroth's winery in Briedel.
Night flying exercises were fun to watch, too...had a great view close to the runway.
Had to live on base for a year, moved to Traben-Trarbach at the first opportunity.

I was in numerous bars outside the gate in Lautzenhausen; the only one that I remember was the first guesthaus.
