—”Good luck trying to keep that thing serviced, though.”
Not that bad if you are a gearhead and can pay attention; NO LOUD MUSIC IN THE SHOP.
My Ferrari friend likes to find them just before major service is due. He says everyone knows the cost of a major service, so that is subtracted from the sale price.
He has a day job the cars are a hobby.
Among the many items is cleaning EVERY connector on the wiring and apply some very expensive conditioner.
Like the painting Goldengate bridge, finish on one end and then start over...
I remember GM put in the 54 degree v6 into the 9-5 i believe
I have a friend who is an airhead
The Yamaha 4.4L, neat engine I would say
That was a car I was going to get, but then all the prices went through to roof so I bought a toyota for now, plus I was concerned about gas prices going up, and once they hit 5 a gallon the prices on v8s go into the crapper
So I will wait for one, one will pop up
—” ya gotta have big bucks to keep this class of car rolling.”
A friend’s friend was a Ferrari mechanic.
He claimed that on the older cars many of the parts are made to order, you are paying a factory machinist to make the part to specs. And it takes forever.
We had a Suzuki Samurai many years ago. Easiest car to service, ever.
Timing belt took me 30 minutes to change.
Those are not real saabs, they are gm crap
Gm also took the perfectly good saab 4 cylinder and decided
It did not need a front cover gasket, after warrantee period they start leaking oil badly, and it cannot be stopped without paying more than the car is worth
—”was given a choice between jail and a stint in the military. He chose the Navy.”
I served in RVN with a guy that made a similar choice.
Stifling heat and humidity covered in sweat and he says, I should have taken jail!!
...He arrived home early one day to find his wife “engaged” with someone.
He tossed the interloper out the window.
The sixth floor; did not survive.
Dallas Texas.
Gee what do ya think it cost to get the smell off the driver’s seat?
Hey, sometimes ya just gotta throw a guy out a window.
I have seen more GM trucks (Suburbans, Tahoes, etc...) with one light out than any other vehicles. Changing those bulbs is ridiculous. I asked my local shop if they have some easier way to replace the bulbs. The owner laughed and said, no problem, they have a guy with a real skinny arm. I believe he just loosens the housing enough to can get his hand in there. Hell, I sure can’t. So the second time, for a few extra dollars when I brought it in for service, I brought the bulbs in and had him replace both sides.
It's the squeegee guy who rides on the roof.....
“Not really Own one, you will find out”
Plenty of Toyotas and Hondas (and Kia’s and Hyuandais) you have to remove the front bumper cover and inner wheelhouse housing to replace the bulb. Youtube has a zillion videos showing such.
It’s not just domestics.

Another
Toyotanation.com forum on how to remove front bumper cover of your vaulted Toyotas to replace a bulb.
That is for replacing the headlamps themselves, not the bulb, the actual bulb is a 5 minute job
Nice try
No, that is for the bulb. Raed the forum. Give it up.
Changing a headlight bulb is no longer a 5 minute operation.
That’s not true. The annual inspection fee for our two cars is about $35/ vehicle. We also don’t go to a dealer to get the inspections. The place we go to is honest, and no conflict of interest.
LOL!
No no no, a mere $1,350! LOL. (The costs are listed after the item.)
