Got mine from a Golden Corral, probly 30 years ago. Never touched another clam since. Never will.
Germany is already doing that.

Remember this same tech is used on TGV trains that run at 300 mph and draw 15,000 horsepower via 25,000 volt AC there is effectively no limit to the HP of the truck EV.
The Swedes have a cheaper alternative that also would work for light duty vehicles. The ground based track is only energized directly under the vehicle so you cannot be shocked by walking up and touching the slots. Sweden gets tons of snow and rain so they have mastered that challenge already a self clearing slot wiper would be a pretty easy mechanical engineering fix which is likely how they did it. Slots have a long history the first were for trolly cars in the 1890s Washington DC had them as overhead wires for the trollyrail was illegal. Remember the electric motor predated the otto engine by 4 decades and diesels by even more. All mobility at one time was by horse, ox, steam or DC electric motors the petrol engine wouldn’t come along for a generation after that era.

An EV will never shake the ground like a coal burning Mopar big block but the Mini Cooper with 4 motors will leave one setting on the line wondering WTF was that!
There's a Mini Cooper with four motors? I've heard of Minis with two, but not four. It does sound like the sort of thing they would do.
It was a test concept before the electric mini’s. Each wheel had its own motor with crazy horsepower. Only remotely related to the Production models.
Thanks. Sounds dangerous, but possibly fun.
