The father says, “How we treat people is based on who they are and not what color they are,” sitting next to his daughter.
His daughter then adds, “And if they’re nice and smart.”

Recently Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis vowed to keep critical race theory out of schools.
Republican Georgia gubernatorial candidate Vernon Jones also slammed critical race theory, saying it’s racism.
Jones said:
“I’m against it.”
“You know, Maria, if you asked 10 different people what critical race theory is, you get 10 different answers.”
“So, we do know one thing that everybody knows is race-based.”
“And if you teach it in school, it’s racism.”
