God bless your father. I never served in our military so I never earned the right to say ‘’Semper Fi’. But ‘’When the Army and the Navy shall gaze upon Heavens scenes/they will know the streets are guarded by United States Marines’’.

When I was last stationed in San Diego, I drove up to Oceanside just to see the church where they married. Over my 25 years on active duty I made it a point to read all the MOH citations from WWII until the present.
Partner, thank you for your service.
We had a WWII veteran who fought with John Basilone in Guadalcanal, Pelelui, and Okinawa. He passed away late last year. He joined the USMC after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and he was only 16 years of age.
We have so much to be thankful for in this country and the USMC did their share to liberate us from the Japanese stronghold.
The Japanese are our best friends now.
