“We need to ask ourselves, if this is not about politics, why is Tim’s next court date June 21 — the day before Primary Day?” Warren asked. “Now, that’s quite the coincidence. Now, when you figure out those answers to those questions, come find me, because I’ll be working.”
The 43-year-old mayor, who is facing campaign finance fraud charges, also pointed the finger at Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley, who she claimed “made a deal with a convicted criminal to harm me,” because she was “angry at me for supporting her opponent.”
Doorley defended her office’s work on Thursday. “This was an investigation spanning close to seven months, a title three wiretap investigation that was run by my office,” she said at a press conference posted by the outlet.
Troopers pulled over the mayor’s husband Thursday afternoon in connection with the ongoing investigation, officials said
“Operating the vehicle was Timothy Granison. He was in possession of a large quantity of cocaine,” said New York State Police Maj. Barry Chase.
This guy has singlehandedly ruined his wife’s reputation, and very likely her career. Politics or not, the police found very large amounts of cocaine. It is what it is.
Dope dealing, plain and simple.
FYI/WTF, Over...
Blubberty.
She knew he was doing that crap.
“This guy has singlehandedly ruined his wife’s reputation”
Or, maybe enhanced it in da ‘hood....
No way she did not have some clue what he was up to.
This entire episode sounds like a racist witch hunt. White mayors’ spouses get to do all the coke and gun-running and armed robberies they want.
I think we’ve discovered why certain inner city blacks so often find themselves face down on the pavement beneath a police officer’s knee.
She knew.
baloney
it appears she needed zero help in destroying her ‘cred’
what it proves is bad people gravitate towards other bad people
Her response is shameless and unrepentant.
It’s a conspiracy!!!
There is zero chance that she didn’t know he was doing this.
There is certainly a sense in which she is correct. It is about politics. When the party in charge is full of corrupt individuals, then those who control the local department of justice get to decide “whose” corruption is worthy of exposure. Those who control the DOJ get to pick the winners.
This reminds me a an Ayn Rand assertion that inherently corrupt politicians will write laws in such a way that EVERYONE is breaking the law. Then they get to choose who gets prosecuted/persecuted and who gets left alone.
Silly me I thought it might’ve been about coke and guns.
CC
Around NY City....a Kilo of cocaine is worth on the street around $30k. Dealer-wise, since it wasn’t over 5 kilos...he might only get 12 to 18 months on that charge. On the weapon? Who knows?
If I were her, I’d dump the guy ASAP. But as a voter of the district....I’d ask her today to go and take a drug-test.
They’re living pretty high on the hog on a public servant’s salary.
Her spending will likely give her involvement away.
Hey, why won’t you give her the credit she deserves for helping to ruin her own reputation and career??
Sure, he did a lot of the heavy lifting with his criminal activities, but she’s really stepped up her game with her unhinged response to the prosecution of her loser hubby.
