Most days, I couldn’t believe I was getting paid. I got to drive Icebreakers. Did see some unpleasantness in the Caribbean Sea, but beyond that, it was amazing.
I hope so because on their 1st day as Ensigns they were insulted by their geriatric boss.

Yesterday I heard someone unwind and translate what Biden said. It was a pro-Coast Guard jab at the Navy which should have gotten some laughs, but Grandpa Joe’s timing and speaking were so awful that no one had any idea what he was talking about. Then he got snippy about i like a five year old mangling a knock knock joke..
Puppet Man will not be criticized for his hatred of the military. The media will give him a free pass on this and everything else he does.

I understand its a saying that Cadets know by heart while at the academy, never herd it myself but I was an enlisted Aviation Electrician and we were doing pushups in boot and no time to memorize catchy slogans.
I figure the cadets knew he was just reading words and had no clue as to the why and wherefore and were not amused.

Biden fumbled the line. He was trying to say what is apparently a fairly well known CG saying, and it didn’t come out of his mouth quite right. (Did you know he was a stutterer as a child? That’s the excuse offered every time he blows a line—which seems like every time he opens his mouth). This is the second time I know of that he has criticized a military audience for not responding how he expects.
Anyway, as someone pointed out, if you try and fail to tell a joke and the audience doesn’t laugh, you don’t blame the audience.
I once went to see LTG Russell Honore the Ragin’ Cajun speak to a group of Army officers. They liked him for a long time after his “Stuck on stupid” rant to the media’s faces. BUT, in the speech I saw, he had clearly become senile and unintelligible. It was sad and no one went along with it, just sadly shook their heads at his decline. I think that’s what was going on at the Biden speech. Imagine realizing you have to serve under this useful idiot.

And rather than choose a VP who is ready and able to take his place to take his place if and when he becomes unable to even maintain the illusion that he’s running things, the powers that be picket Kamala Harris apparently solely on the basis of skin color and genitals.
Yes, and further imagine these young Americans who were called to serve and just invested 4 years of their lives, plus their future military commitment.
