The NY Yankees have a 40 man roster. presuming all were vaccinated and 8 have subsequently tested positive, that is a breakthrough rate of 20% in just a few weeks.
Considering the high relative failure rate in such a small population, an actual scientist might go back and question their original assumptions about the efficacy of the vaccine. instead, we get a doubling down that the breakthrus are proof it is working, somehow.

If you read what you signed nowhere does it say a VAC can prevent Covid (you just wont wind up on a respirator (maybe)).
I think maybe, in this situation, the TESTS they are getting are not accurate.
Hurry up and get the experimental vaccine! It will not protect you from a virus with a 99% survival rate, but will have you worrying about potential side effects for the rest of your life.

But the number of PCR cycles associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection tests for the not-really-vaccinated are supposedly deliberately fewer than those for the non-not-really-vaccinated, so as not to trigger false positives and cause people to doubt the effectiveness of the not-vaccines. So these positive tests would presumably be real positives and not false positives.

Could those people test positive for the disease, even if it’s really just the vaccine causing it?
Or is this different altogether? Disease vs. vax? I wonder about that - can the vax produce a positive test result?

So my scientist friend said she is extremely interested in hearing which test MLB uses. She knows what the NBA uses because she helped in the development of it at her last company. All the tests are different and many of them give false positives. I’ve learned a lot about this stuff in the last year but she got really really deep in the weeds and I got lost with what she was saying. I’m sure we will learn much more in the coming weeks about this. I have a feeling this winter is going to be incredibly interesting........

Many people also say that they are unhealthy (severe flu symptoms) for weeks, it seems to be destroying young healthy women the most. The CDC is hiding stats. These young healthy women would have been a lot better taking their chances with COVID.
Dare, I say, protect the elderly and vulnerable with no-one with a good immune system under 40 getting the vaccine. It is just plain stupid to do otherwise.
The way I understand it is that this virus has an overall survival rate or 99.94 or so etching like that I think? The vaccines give folks who are In the .6% category, those who would not survive, a 90% or so chance of surviving if they do get the virus, supposedly.
So, if say 10,000 people out of a large group of vulnerable folks wou.d ordinarily die fro the virus, now ‘only 1000 will while 9000 will now survive.
Plus, I think the vaccines ‘are supposed to’ cut down on how many folks actually will get the virus and get sick. At least that is what is claimed, so the vulnerable group will be even more protected, I think the medical community are claiming that the vaccines will protect folks up to 90% or so from even getting the virus? So that remaining vulnerable group should see dramatically less deaths even beyond their 90% protection IF they do get the virus in the first place.
So if say 1000 put of 10000 would normally get the virus, a 90% reduction in Infecfion would mean now only 90 will get the virus SUPPOSEDLY (Need to stress supposedly)
On paper it sounds like this pandemic should be dead in the water, with very very few vulnerable elderly, sick etc succumbing to it from now on if they get vaccinated. Thr reality though is likely much different.
The medical professionals haven’t been straight with us through the whole thing. Their actions have lead to millions dying unnecessarily when they banned hcq and ivermectin. They are directly responsible for so much suffering and loss of life.

Yes it matters if they test positive but are not sick. If they were inoculated but then test positive it means the vaccine worked. My only question is, why were they even tested? I actually suspect that the test is flawed. We have all heard of various tests having large percentages of false positives.
You seem to be thinking that all vaccinated individuals could become Typhoid Marys. Think about it a moment. If they hadn't been vaccinated and actually had COVID-19 they could "still pass it to others who will get sick" and that would be a common everyday SNAFU. Just continue to wear your mask if you are afraid.
The US gubmint hacks and their ilk will simply say, “See? We told you it was mutating and will get worse!”
Not to quibble, but it seems it’s more the “public health officials” rather than the medical professionals (eg, doctors) who have failed hard in this.
It’s only because of the clinicians that we know about the therapeutics that would prevent much needless suffering and death. It’s the Faucis of the world who have acted to maximize the government’s power to the detriment of the public health, and bullied the doctors in the process.
