“successfully liberated 200 Acres of Land”
liberated?! How and from whom?
How long before we hear of murders, rape and other crimes in that “ Utopia”?
Don't let this plague move to the burbs.
All it proves is that people want to live in communities of their own choosing, where they feel mutual understanding and trust, with others of like thinking, ideology, or race.
Apparently, its cool and PC for BLM, but not for other groups
We can only hope it will be as peaceful as Chicago.
Hysterical. I’ve lived at 7,700 feet in Colorado and the growing season is very short and only certain things can be grown. “Liberated” means they are squatting on BLM or National Forest land. They won’t last through the winter. Can’t wait for them to learn their “streams” are probably dry from November through through March. At 7,700 feet we hit 25 to 30 below zero several times most winters. They better get to building and cutting firewood, lots and lots of firewood.
This would make a good reality show. I’d watch it.
They have no clue about finance. $500k for all that? Really?
They are at 10,000 feet according to the article. It easily gets below freezing at that altitude by late August or early September. They won’t make it to October.
Maude: Ladies and gentlemen, please, quiet, quiet, folks. Uh, he'll be here in less than four minutes. Uh, while we're waiting, uh, tell me, how many of you have read his brand-new book, uh, Give Us Colorado?
Arthur: I read it, Maudie.
Maude: You don't count, Arthur.
Arthur: Oh, you say I don't count. That's because you don't want everyone to know that Jim Chambers has gone mad. In his book, Give Us Colorado, he wants the United States to give the entire state of Colorado to the blacks.
[GUESTS MURMURING]
Maude: Colorado? Well, isn't that where Aspen is?
Arthur: That's right.
Maude: Well, to hell with him. Blacks don't ski.
Had cabin at 9300’ near Jefferson. Been in Denver burbs 36 years.
Are they taking all the liberals, dems and progressives with them?????
So are they going to hire white people to build houses, plumbing, sewage? Where will they get electricity? Who willl maintain it? How will supplies be delivered? How will garbage be dealt with? Will people be expected to volunteer their time to maintain these services? How will they ensure the population has all the skills necessary to fill these positions. Who will police it? Will it be 100% vigilante justice? Or will might make right? What happens if somebody does not want to contribute their “fair share”? Will it matter if they are a member of the family in power? How will they make an income to buy services like power or IPhones or spray paint? Tourists will definitely not feel welcome there. Who will plant trees, or build parks and ensure they are safe for children? This is just a simplistic list of basic questions off the top of my head.
Nah, It’ll be fine
They’ll liberate trees from their roots to build the town.
What percent of Black blood meets their requirements?
“...people want to live in communities of their own choosing, where they feel mutual understanding and trust, with others of like thinking, ideology, or race.”
It’s one of the reasons our integration west was so fast. People would come to a town, not totally like the town theology, and move down the road with people like themselves and start a new town. And there were many black oriented towns founded from freed slaves called “Freedmen’s town”, “Freedom Towns”, or “All-Black towns” many in Oklahoma founded inside the Indian Territory.
And in the mid 1800’s gold in California and silver in Nevada ended up creating and closing many towns. Las Vegas was one of those towns that stayed mainly because they had water there. The Spanish originally built there and it was not a lot more than a street of brothels and saloons. The farmers and railroad came in and added to it. ‘Bout the same as today. The casinos came in starting with the first in 1907. And billions have been wagered since.
