Mating is essential to the our survival and over millions of years we have evolved to make it happen politely or not. In the big picture emotions and the odd sexual flavors are a sideshow.
Or actually very comic. She seems very in tune with what comedians have been saying for years. Unfortunately, the same dynamic applies in homosexual relationships, even in those where the two partners chose each other because they were alike in every way. With time, people irritate each other. When they don't it could be because they have ceased to care or to have any individuality. It's human nature.
This is a familiar gambit though. Homosexuality has often been seen as tragic, so sooner or later, a gay activist would describe heterosexuality as tragic. You can see the same thing with blackness and whiteness. "The Negro" was seen as America's tragedy, and now we hear the same thing about White people, especially White men. You can see the same thing with America as a whole: once we were seen as a supremely fortunate nation, and now the emphasis is on how unfortunate we are.
But really, people say things, and there's no point in getting bent out of shape by the things people say.

Heterosexuality is tragic in the sense that a deep marriage relationship is one of the most powerful forces in human life, and the loss of it by death or separation nearly kills many of those who experience it. In the case of the death of a long-term spouse, the surviving spouse is at a greater risk for illness and death soon after. In the case of separation, it leaves a devastating wound in the children. All the marxist social revisionism in the world cannot change this deep force of nature.
