oops. Shows you how hard I’ve tried to forget about that city.
A woman with a Ph.D in Public Health requested she be addressed by the title she earned.
But they basically set the standards so low for POC that it becomes a honorary degree. Just the other day this was a headline.
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is moving to eliminate all accelerated math options prior to 11th grade, effectively keeping higher-achieving students from advancing as they usually would in the school system.
No idea. Very likeable guy. Mayor material.
Then that sucks. Taken out by the ultimate bougie, princess and her loyal followers. Probably the only guy with some sense on the whole board.
And he really was being respectful outside of the, Dr Demand
In a Zoom call, your name should in the picture. I never refer to anyone as Mister or Missus. That’s gender-assuming. I use the first name in the picture. If I suspect they are Faculty, it’s automatic Dr. unless they correct me.
too many fluffy degrees out there.....

Same chick?
If so, she’s a health equity advocate??
They’ll give out a Piled higher and Deeper for THAT?!
They were on a zoning board. I’m thinking they probably should have been on a first name basis. But silly me.
And I really hope your kidding about the ‘gender assuming’ thing.
What is that? Making sure some folks get care before others for a self perceived bias in going to an actual doctor
No. It’s a university. You never assume gender. I refer to everyone in emails as “they”, even if someone provides gender.
“Dr Soandso wants to know if he can access the report”
Me: “They can access it after they submit a request”
You do you, they.
I’m sticking to the pronouns I grew up with. Not some CIS-gender nonsense.
You tell me the gender of Pad Wantu Jero
Don’t care. I’d call him/her by their name and that would be the end of it.
