I would like them to stand idly by as I kill the assailant myself.
I was underneath on a platform cleaning the beams of a bridge.
One guy I was working with had a buck folding knife in a pouch.
A third guy...grabbed it out of the pouch, opened it and was waving it around.
Other guy says...let me show you how to take a knife away from punks like you.
Guy steps forward, guy with the knife does too....sticks the blade right into the other guys leg.
What are we gonna say, the dude says.

The proper response is to let the knifer to the knifing. Then swear them in as a cop. The jury will take it from there.

I can’t agree with the premise. This nice gal wasn’t holding a knife, she was thrusting it.
I think telling a good joke could distract her as well, I hear she enjoyed cooking, telling jokes and studying the bible.
