I recall some big shot record producer or DJ, I don’t remember which, that predicted the Bay city rollers were going to be bigger than the Beatles. Cue sad trombone (bwah bwah bwahhh)
Another world famous celebrity I’ve never heard of.
I had their first album and I gave it away: mistake. I gave it to my girlfriends best friend. She got pissed. Nick Lowe has mellowed out(acting his age). I first saw him in 1978 with Elvis Costello which was basically Rockpile. Last time I saw Nick, it was all acoustic. The Ramones were the most energetic band that I have seen: 30 songs in 50 minutes.
I think the Beatles were a phenomenon. The Bay City Rollers were about a year and a half of silly comparisons with the Beatles, as I remember it.
RIP.
Didn't last too long but they had their moment.
Kind of like Hanson in the 90s.
Her childhood home is a modest one story in the Banks area of town. [spit]
He grandmother lived directly across the street from my grandmother [spit]
She called Bay City a “smelly little fishing town” [spit]
It was little and it was a town, but the Saginaw Bay was five miles out and the only fishing was recreational.
It wasn’t until you went up the East Coast of the Bay that you started to see commercial operations and it wasn’t smelly. [spit]
The girl is pure filth. Wish she was born someplace else, a complete disgrace.
The Monkees were a big influence on the Beatles.
I liked their car.
