I think your point stands - the jurors are toast if the verdict is anything other than guilty.
I agree that the evidence for conviction has not been presented! For the justice system to allow this kangaroo court to convene in a riotous area is pure insanity!
Especially since the judge gave the jury an easy out,by saying you will be able to appeal the case because of Maxine waters,he is assuming the jury will vote to convict!
