"Journalism should reflect what science says: the climate emergency is here," Scientific American senior editor Mark Fischetti said in a Monday post about the magazine's decision.

To make his point, Fischetti pointed to the mounting number of weather-related disasters that most scientists agree stem from climate change.

"A hurricane blasts Florida. A California dam bursts because floods have piled water high up behind it. A sudden, record-setting cold snap cuts power to the entire state of Texas," Fischetti wrote. "These are also emergencies that require immediate action. Multiply these situations worldwide, and you have the biggest environmental emergency to beset the earth in millennia: climate change."

If it’s such an emergency, why all the focus on “woke” political nonsense like microaggressions, BLM, etc. and other things that just take up time, energy, money, and ultimately divide people, Scientific American? You leftists certainly don’t act like it’s a climate emergency.

And at any rate, you’re wrong. SCIENCE journalism should use the terms scientists actually use. Substituting your own vocabulary just makes you a bunch of unscientific, activist fools.

More like “Inexact Scientific American” magazine.

So I've seen pictures of glaciers melting over the past 100 years, and pictures of ocean levels being the same over the past 100 years. So where did all the water go? Did magical water fairies drink it up?

Why aren't all major coastal cities underwater now like it was predicted in 1980? Why didn't the world end in 7 years as was predicted multiple times since 1980? Why the sudden and unexplainable shift from global cooling in 1979 to global warming in 1980? Why did 38 out of 39 super computer simulations completely fail their predictions for climate change? (The climate is better than those 38 predictions.)

They decided to ‘strike while the iron is hot’ as they realize how easy it is to get a good portion of the citizenry to follow along with the ‘Chicken Little’ routine.

I had joked at first that the ‘breaking point’ on society was when the ‘powers that be’ decreed that paper and/or plastic was no longer good for ‘us’ and they started selling designer PERMANENT totes for us to carry our purchases in.

After a spell and the ‘permanent totes’ flew off the shelves, the ‘PTB’ decreed that during the pandemic, it was dangerous for you and I to posses our own tote so it was back to paper/plastic, leave your tote at home.

When ‘we’ complied like sheep and no one group made a run for refunds etc, they ‘suddenly’ put the mask rule in effect for a short to see what happens.

That was a year or so ago and ‘they’ still expect us to wear the mask.

It’s actually kind of good news that the “global warming” and “climate change” scams are not working anymore.

I think “climate emergency” will flop faster than the other two.

“The science says” is a really lazy and misleading way of speaking.

It follows that we all should replace the phrase “Scientific American” with “Superstitious American”.

The real emergency is the shortage of people versed in the physical sciences.
Too many political science dunderheads passing themselves off as real scientists.
