I was at a party, I can’t remember where, when the only thing left was Zima, and no one would touch it.

Never, ever heard of hard seltzer...
Hard luck, hard cases, hard head, hard turn, hard boiled, hard nails, hard women, but never hard seltzer...
Apparently I've wasted 87 years... Snicker...

Here in Texas malt beverages beer and wine can be bought at 7_11 or Wal-Mart. Where as hard spirits and real hard sodas with distilled alcohol in them must be sold at a package store. Wal-Mart will see malt, beer, and wine 0700 till 2400 Monday through Friday 0700 till 0100 Saturday and 1200 to 2400 Sundays. Package stores are only open Monday through Saturday 0700 to 2100 and never on holidays. This skews the availability in favor of malt, beer and wine.

When I was a teen in the 80s, the boys drank beer and the girls drank wine coolers.

When I was a college student in the 90s, the boys drank beer and the girls drank Zimas.

Now the boys drink beer and the girls drink White Claws.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. There will always be something for the girls to drink, and the boys who drink beer are perfectly happy with this.

It’s true at my house during the summer that the boys drink beer and the girls drink White Claw. The current White Claw favorite flavor is mango and the stores sell out of that.

The White Claw has more flavor than Truly and is the preferred hard seltzer with my friends and family.

Blech. Hard seltzer is nasty. My wife can drink it; I can’t stand it.

I’m a wife and I can’t stand the stuff. It’s nasty. Give me a vodka and soda with a lime instead.
