Duh. UV is is used in pharma labs to destroy all kinds of nasty critters. Furthermore, this was brought up over a year ago.

right. But for the most part the focus was on UVC. This hypothesis says UVA, while a weaker radiation than UVB, perhaps because of indirect action mechanisms, is 8x more effective.

If some politician wants to propose a new “Manhattan Project” to protect us from future dangerous viruses, then devising widespread systems to deactivate the buggers with UV light, rather than the stupid masks and “social distancing”, might be a worthy goal.

I think I’d prefer to put the product of the original Manhattan Project to work attacking the problem at the source by vaporizing the CCP demons who produced and spread the current virus, but that’s just me.

Yeah. By February 24th I had 2 UV lamps form myself and one each for my kids. Plus all sorts of other stuff. Although I did go overboard. I see where Costco has tons of bottles of 70% isopropol, wipes, etc. now. But - I had plenty to share with relatives and neighbors back when.

I also spent thousands of dollars on car and homeowner’s insurance that I didn’t use last year.
