It hinges on what region and social stratum they come from. I have some good friends who came here with $50 but worked hard. They are from a region in India where the food is mild (and delicious), but when they have a lot of people over, they serve both the mild and the strongly fragrant spicy--but outside on the patio! Their home and everything about them is just lovely; they are super smart, work as professionals, achieved the American Dream, and raised an great American family.
