Mr. Big also owned all the stuff blown up in the beginning of “Goldfinger”. He didn’t like Mr. Bond much after that.

"At the height of his fame, he turned down the role of Captain Picard in “Star Trek: The Next Generation” — a decision he later said he regretted." Oh, man, would I have loved to see this.
Troi, regarding someone on the viewer screen who's clearly belligerent:
"I sense belligerence!"
Yaphet Kotto Picard:
"No $h!+. Tell me something I _don't_ already know."

“You’ll get what’s coming to you, Parker.”
RIP Mr. Kotto.

I think he was a good pick for his role in Alien.

I saw him first decades ago with the actor David Janssen in a movie and I thought Kotto was impressive back then....one reason....he was really really black, not just a light hollywood brown, but really black....he wasn't a pretty boy actor....he had substance...he had a presence.....

RIP Good actor and person.

Never seen anything he’s ever been in. IMO “Showbiz” almost always means “scum”. Don’t know if that applies here.

Raid on Entabbe is one of my favorite films.

RIP. I didn't know he was Jewish. I best remember him from the series Homicide and as the FBI Agent in Midnight Run. RIP Yaphet Kotto.

“Thirty-something posts and no picture.”
Everyone had a clear mental image, for sure.
Unforgettable character actor.

Me, too. I never liked Patrick Stewart’s Captain Picard, but I was never much of a fan of The Next Generation. I’d put it behind Kirk’s series, DS9, Voyager, and even Enterprise. Too many characters in the Next Generation that made me cringe. It would have been interesting to see how Yaphet Kotto would have shaped the series.
