:-)
Thanks again.
I had seen some news reports that severe covid infections cause horrible lung scarring as well. I don’t know if that is valid or well researched, or related to the question of chest pain, or a separate discovery of long term effects.
People amaze me sometimes. Is life really this hard ?
In other words, in the segments of the populations that actually need it, the vaccine doesn’t actually work.
LOL. We are living in clown world!
I never got an answer to the question I had asked (the poster).
I guess the non-answer WAS the answer. π
Around thirty years ago for me, and ditto.
No, the vaccine appeared to be working for over 2/3 of the over 80 group vaccinated. I’ll bet that’s quite a bit better than regular strength flu vaccines (on average) for that group.
I bet the mrna injection has more harmful effects on average than the flu vaccine.
With good weather hopefully back more often than not, soon, maybe I should pick fishing spots that require long hikes. (I already do lots of push mowing. My Mom’s yard works out to around 10 miles, all told, I once calculated, with some up and down hill. On a hot day, even with breaks — Whew! But I’m only mid-60’s.)
Actually, this is mostly correct. Viral load is QUITE important. However, there are also other factors. The strength of one’s own immune system is a biggie for sure.
Well good on you! Your immune system is still functioning as it should. I had the exact same experience with the Pfizer vaccine even though I am “only” 69.
Well, the best (relatively uncorrupted) source of information I have is the extended group of people I and (especially) my wife (workplace, church, friends) have some sort of contact / communication with. Out of that group, there would add up to at least a few hundred people vaccinated with at least one Moderna or Pfizer shot, over half that group with two. So far, no known hospitalizations or visits to ER. We do know of quite a few instances of “very fatigued” for a day, a day or two after the 2nd Moderna shot.
Out of approximately the same group we have seven fatalities of people close or somewhat close to us, and several more “not close”, such as fellow church members we didn’t know well. Granted that the demographic of these groups is older than the general population.
You would be wrong, since hot batches of flu vaccines have caused outbreaks. This is always a risk with whole virus vaccines.
I plan to get the Moderna one when it’s available to me (pretty much at the end of the line).
