I believe you are correct. William’s children come before Harry so Kate would be Regent until Prince George, who is currently 3rd in line, came of age. Harry is currently sixth in line, barring Kate having further issue. Harry will never see the crown.

The allowances were payments from each living and they were expected to do the work of the Royals.

OK, but for whatever reason they didn't like the gig, and quit.

A lot of kids I grew up with had overbearing parents who insisted they become doctors, or lawyers, or expected them to join the family business. Some did, some didn't.

And most of those on either side went on to have great lives. One fellow from my high school's father ran a large radiology business - he was a doctor and had several x-ray clinics all over the city. His father was deeply disapointed when his sun graduated college and went to work in the software industry. But he became very rich at a young age as an early employee of Microsoft.

Everyone, even Royals, have the right to steer their own lives in their own direction. I know I would find being a professional "royal" stifling, so I have a lot of sympathy for them leaving all that behind.

None of them really do anything.

You are applying American sensibilities and possibilities to the unique and quintessentially British monarchy. It's really not comparable.

Their government is not structured like ours. The Royal Family performs a lot of diplomatic functions that would be undertaken by members of the State Department, the Department of Defense, or the Vice President in the U.S. They are supposed to remain above or outside of politics, and for the most part, the Queen has done a pretty good job of that. At 94, she is still working. Her husband and daughter have been both tremendously productive in their roles as miltary figureheads and as patrons of hundreds of charities.

One of the benefits of their system is that it doesn't change players every four or eight years, which adds stability. Younger people think that's stultifying, and Americans think it limits opportunity; but look at the chaos now going on as Biden rips up many of Trump's accomplishments, after Trump ripped up Obama's usurpations, and Wall Street/Big Tech throttle our basic rights.

Before Harry met Meghan I read that William told Herry that “it’s all right for you” and they were discussing the burden of being royal and having to fulfill all their obligations that are a consequence of their birth. I don’t think Harry was unwilling to start a new life although it would seem normal if he felt torn about it.

We Americans generally don’t know what that’s like to have our destiny in life laid out before we’re born - even on a small scale.

And the system is predicated on the belief their blood is ‘’royal’’. We chased them out of here twice. I’m no fan of them.

Heir apparent?

The regent is the one who rules the kingdom until the king reaches the age of majority.

William has reached that age.

The Queen could skip Charles. The next Adult in line of Succession is Randy Andrew.

If, and it is a huge if, William is declared King and something happens to him— his little son George under 18 has as Regent... Prince Andrew.

Unless there is something we have zero idea about— re: Epstein with him and Fergie getting it on with children, or Andrew at the “pad” mansion in new york- again, on record. All of which is known to US Atty General, and most likely the Queen (and of course billy cokenose and his sow hitlery who were there and pals with Ghislaine and Jeff, and their own Mossad held videos “in action” with.. children, also on file).

Some think the entire hitlery run Trump dossier op was done at the behest of the Realm’s defence, sub-rosa to protect the Monarch— to cover up the major crimes of her disappointing spawn, Prince Andrew (who is removed from all royal assignments permanently and completely out of the picture to continue his perversions, and Fergie making up with him to come along).

It is Parliament which would decide the Regent in this remote case. The Queen designates her successor, which could very well skip Charles, and go to William (highly protected, said to be more than Charles).

Oh yeah? Ever hear Al Sharpton elucidate the “our lives are already decided for us.... as victims of a racists State” routine?

A parody from the Great Rush’s show and Paul Shanklin. There was and still is jealousy about who gets to have the “official real victim” black status... because obamaumao wasn’t and isn’t thought to be authentic. Incidentally, this applie quadruple to Heel’s Up Karamel Harris (”black Jamaican” “Indian”— non American):

And his main puppet sits in the WH, and he called him “very clean and WELL SPOKEN” (mr. JoeBama his own seff):

Barack the Magic Negro (still lives in DC):

People can complain all they want but most of us aren’t born into a job.

I try to never listen to Al Sharpton.

I'm not a "fan", either; but I understand their system and their role in the system, which is more substantial than it may seem to an American.

It's not a belief that their blood has some magical quality; it's more about raising younger royals in the system so that they understand the duties expected of them as they assume their titles in adulthood. It's sort of like cattle breeding, without the prods. They use privileges and perks as prods.

FRiend, I’m no fan of these people or of the Brits in general. They have a barely disguised contempt for us.
