In other words, "What we "know" is exactly the opposite of what the actual data says. The guy is either so stupid that he doesn't see the facts, or, he's a bald faced liar. I vote for both.

Bad cases are higher where bad cases are a higher proportion of all cases, and that happens where lower % of cases are mild or asymptomatic and mild and asymptomatic cases occur more often than severe cases when things are more open. Severe cases are most often (a) from someone with symptoms, (b) with close contact in close quarters, (c) over some period of time. NOT from asymptomatic persons; in other words not from the majority (mild and asymptomatic) of existing cases.

In short, I think Florida has greater herd immunity than closed California.
