To clear your tagline, prepare to post a reply to this message.
Before posting, position the cursor at the far right end of the tagline field. Then type something visible like “xxx” into the field. Then backspace over what you just typed.
Continue hitting the backspace key until the cursor stops at the far left side of the tagline field. You should find yourself backspacing over some non-printing characters.
Finally, post your reply. The tagline parentheses should be gone.
Each time you hit “reply”, the system fills in the tagline field with whatever text you previously used. If you get rid of the blank characters they will stay gone.
Thank you...I have a new keyboard and it’s very sensitive so I can see how that happened....old fashioned still with a keyboard!
I’m sorry but I can’t GET the cursor to the far right of the tagline field....I can get it about an inch from the end but I can’t type anything in that space...I can put the cursor anywhere starting from the left hand side all along that tagline space but when it gets CLOSE to the end (one inch or so), it won’t go any further.
I know I’m doing something wrong and I understand what you’re directing me to do (delete blank spaces) but it’s weird because if I WANTED to put something in the tagline space, it won’t let me type anything there.
I appreciate your help but I’ll just have to keep trying..
Thank you. (Should we be doing this by PM instead of here?)
