He should bother to preemptively fact-check his own fiction, when passing it off as fact. Mr. mccarrick was never the auxiliary bishop of Metuchen. He was the first Ordinary of the See, his appointment effective the day the diocese itself was erected in November 1981.
Before that, he was an auxiliary of the Archdiocese of New York.
He was only in Metuuchen for 4.5 years before becoming Archbishop of Newark in 1986.
