When I was on the Big Island of Hawaii one time, I drove across it using Saddle Road (where the rental car agencies tell you not to go) and it got quite chilly as we approached one of the mountain tops. To the point where we turned the heat on in the car.

Highly recommend exploring the interior of the Big Island of Hawaii, the changes in landscape are incredible. Some areas look no different than ranch areas of the American West.

Yeah, some here.. I just check the forecast for southern Ohio and it just looks like...February. Lows in the teens, high in the upper 20's..

Seems the media lies about everything nowadays... Even the weather.....

At extreme low temps it can gel, like diesel fuel does. But if it’s low enough to gel antifreeze, ain’t nothin gonna work.

While it is supposed to reach seasonal lows of -10 here in my flyover, the ground did not even freeze until last week. Ground usually freezes by deer season in mid-November.

Actually glad it will get cold for a bit. Kills off insects and any escaped exotic pets, among other things.

Straight anti-freeze can freeze.

Only if diluted properly will it NOT freeze.

PRE-DILUTED anti freeze isn’t a good idea. YOU know what you need where YOU LIVE.

Get the concentrate & mix your own.

NEVER us straight concentrated anti-freeze.

Won many a bar bet in the 60’s with that trick. Pour straight anti-freeze into an ice cube tray. Put into freezer...ICE CUBES OF ANTI-FREEZE resulted.

Here in northern Ohio...Might not even go below zero. Lake Erie is not frozen yet. They keep changing the low temp.

And then there’s the windchill. I walked out of work yesterday and got hit with high winds. It felt cold enough to kill a man pretty quick. I think it’s about -14C with windchill right now.

We’re to reach 80 in my neck of the woods in Texas.

My friend in Minot, however, is right now at MINUS 29 with windchill and it’s going to be even colder this Monday.
