Bet you a buck they’re pulling out of California entirely soon.
L
Building back better in Biden’s banana republic.
I put an Edeklrock carb on my 64 12 years ago. Other than having to replace the accelerator pump because the ethanol laden crapgas damages the neoprene plunger over time, still works great.
With buyDUNG and his plan to go green, them racing parts for evil petro powered cars won’t be needed by them redneck hillbilly moonshine runners no more.
The good news is that all 270 people are being delivered into the loving hands of the state. Hallelujah!
Cheaper to do same work elsewhere...plus with internal combustion engines maybe being phased out soon...maybe the new management wants to position the company for future tech work. That is what central government “planning” does for us. Way to go, “woke”, soon broke, voters and cheaters.
Yes. There’s also Shell, Circle K, Wawa and a few Chevrons. I sometimes add a few ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil when I get gas.
No big deal, those workers can just make solar solar panels instead, right?
San Jacinto CA in Riverside county was the location of the Scientology annex, and a Soboba Indian casino. it has lately become a welfare dump for LA and San Bernardino Counties, at one time a lot of well off old people moved that way to retire and the politicians picked them clean, now it is a S-hole again
As a kid I was into small block Chevy building and used quite a few Edelbrock parts, the Torqer and SP2P manifolds come to mind as well as carbs. It was a lot of fun, wish engines were that simple today.
I had a chance to buy a 65 Ford with a 390 in it and the guy said it was upgraded to a pointless ignition because points were too difficult to figure out. Because of that stupidity I backed out of the deal.
“Two monsters of the industry have partnered up. Industrial Opportunity Partners, an operations-focused private equity firm based in Evanston, Ill., and owner of Edelbrock LLC, today announced the acquisition of the COMP Performance Group.
Edelbrock, LLC and the COMP Performance Group and their respective management teams will currently operate as independent organizations, and we do not anticipate any interruption of service. Both teams will continue to provide the same great designs, products, and service that have made them respective market leaders as they explore opportunities to drive increased product and customer offerings.”
Maybe the new, larger organization recognized that it’s past time to escape Calif. ?
A good electronic ignition system is way better than points and the mechanical limitations of a distributor.
Altitude compensation and knock sensors come immediately to mind.
Ya, these people supposedly can get a job tomorrow making and installing solar panels.
They talk of the “jobs of the future” a lot, but they don’t tell us that there are technical skills one must have to get those jobs, and also the fact that the quantity of workers being laid off/phased out, is greater than the quantity of jobs of the future available today.
Thats at the museum a few blocks away, I have known the Edelbrocks for over 40 years. I remember went he bought the old dow chemical buildings where they are at now. With Vic dead, there is no longer a reason to stay in Torrance.
Did they miss that Elon Musk said the electric grid can’t power that many electric cars?
