I don’t see that it’s about Left or Right. I see if som eone actually did damage or hurt som done or trespassed or any breaking of law they should face consequences. USA is supposed to be about self governing.

if people chose not to govern themselves and act within the law on Jan 6th at the capital area then they chose poorly and there is a cost to be settled, time or fines or some thing.

If Congress doesn’t want a few broken windows they shouldn’t certify stolen elections and therefore disenfranchise 75 million voters. There is no moral equivalence between what happened at the capitol and an election stolen in a bipartisan manner.
