The key to turning this around isn't more academics, but citizen historians who take it seriously and mount a challenge to the status quo.

Worse than Progressives....Corporate Fascists.
“Liberals write history” - Richard Nixon
You don’t get a tenured position with Universities being a truthful historian
A citizen historian wouldn’t be anywhere near a university.

I had to take a history course as part of my distribution of studies (I was a chemistry major). Well, the only course that fit my schedule was some nonsensical class about Marxist social history.
I went to the first class, and that was it. For the rest of the semester I went to the chemistry lab instead. I belonged there anyway.
Ah, but I did take the final exam. It was an essay exam. I wrote exactly what I thought a Marxist professor would want to hear. Power to the people! I got an A. So I guess I’m an expert on the subject.
People on the right need to go tribal. We need our own historians. We need more recognition and awards for conservative achievers. There are very few corporations or cultural institutions that cater to conservatives. It seems like they all cater to the left.
The old fashion way thru Town Crier’s Traveling Minstrels Word of mouth. /S
Hopefully, after the progressives finish erasing US history and much of the history of the world and are finally driven away, some one will find a hidden cache of all the lost history.
Who controls the past controls the future, and who controls the present controls the past.
I recommend we refer to all members of theDemocRat party as demsoc.
Why not use a new-fashioned way, such as audiobooks?
“Who owns America’s history? Well, for now the progressives do.”
For NOW? How about for the past 50 years while ‘conservatives’ were dumping their kids into government schools. And it seemed to me that the schools were actually ANNOUNCING how Leftist they were, particularly when using the (alternative) ‘history’ book called: “A PEOPLE’S History of the United States.”
And yes, most schools did and do use it, and YES, most ‘conservatives’ do not even know that the term “People’s” is and was used in the actual names of Communist countries, like North Korea and East Germany.
But I know, public schools are FREE!!!, so what the hell. Right?
Sadly, much of human nature is sentimental, driven by emotion making majorities ripe for manipulation. For instance, eighteen-year-olds etc. voting for taxes they don't pay but think are "fair" is just the tip of the iceberg. Your observation is right on target. When a majority of parents, distracted by materialism and their own deficient educations don't concern themselves with what kids are being taught, we get the likes of Carter- Clinton- Obama- Biden with worse to come.
PerConPat is right, its more like 100 years.
But as to “For NOW?”, it’s really going to depend on if conservatives are willing to stand up and become citizen historians.
You and I, and individual people can do this without any major organization backing whatsoever. Once that becomes more widely known I think it will become more of an effort.
Whatever, I expect the Rats to overplay their hand and eventually "teach" their supporters with painful experience what scheming public education failed to do. I think Ben Franklin said something that pertains. But, unfortunately, this will take time. I hope there is enough.
That’s why I do what I do. There’s plenty of escapes. We just don’t know about them because they’ve been hidden. And not even “escapes”, the progressives are flat out liars and yet they win anyways.
Open source audiobooks can provide a light and a beacon to illuminate the area and prevent all of this.
Agree...
Should have picked our own damned cotton.
