I can only speculate. It is possible that their operation was not sanctioned beforehand. Furthermore, at the time, U.S. Gov hoped that they could reach a dramatic deal with NK regime. Their operation probably was a thorn in U.S. gov’s side.

Sounds like a crazy story, but a few hours ago George Papadopoulos tweeted:

And then he followed up with:

Byrne is not really crazy. He dug up a lot of interesting facts and plausible theories. I could be wrong but when he mentioned something like this, I give it some credibility.
