I assume many are going to DC rally on January 6. Even with no funny business cell phone service will be difficult if not impossible. Any ham radio operators going? Suggestions for frequencies, etc?

Ty , I have a few, excellent units.

And throw away if need be.

Almost back to valve years CB was a valuable asset, and for a few beers one could get a tech to rechip them to split freq. Or alternate freq. For a somewhat cleaner comms system, used mainly on open road or country towns, or at times with the good old homemade antenna of one’s choice.

Good times .

Respects

Thanks for the expanded version. Sounds like you are far more conversant than I on the subject. My reading on the internet tells me I would be out of my element trying to make a Pi and server communicate without considerable handholding by someone with the know how.

Nevertheless any information adds to the knowledge base and helps to expand the mind so one doesn’t stop the education process because of age or any other excuse.

Also appreciate the Antifa information. Wonder who their comm guy might be and what his or her background is? Doing a fine job of undermining rule of law.

I did add the ping list (I think) to this thread to get them engaged.

Earlier on this thread you were fingered by mad as heck for being the holder of the ham radio ping list.

If that is true, could you add me, and if otherwise do you know the holder?

Answered before the question.

There are some trained military and police, comms techs in the IT industry and abc handlers that set them up.

As I stated, logic applied to a situation that requires comms on a large scale that cannot be hacked to review what is being said, and there are Patriots that are trying, means they are using dark freq. Meaning freq that are illegal to use, or they are given cell tower freq. To relay through, illegal but not hard to do with the communications companies in bed with the swamp, or they are running mesh servers in the backpacks. Still, encrypted comms.

Noone gets mobilization directions and tactical deployment guidance from a cell in the city during mass usage as in a riot just from verbal chain of dispatch.

If they could then everyone could. Implausible unless coordinated mobile off-grid servers.

There are a lot of comms each ppl on here, they may chime in.

Go to the chans or to the Q forums, they haveca vastly better understanding of the technicalities required to have such comms needed for what they have found already on vid and street smarts.

For the chirp program interface, yes.

Cheap as anything.

There are wording diagrams for it but unless you have solder and mini tip iron and cable and connectors then buy and be done in a flash.
